The elegant GKJ-art venue is located in Jalan (street) Gedung Kesenian Jakarta No. 1, in the famous sub-district of Pasar Baru, down town of Jakarta. It lies next to the old antique building of the Post-Office. The location is strategic, easy to find by using public transport or private vehicles. All taxi drivers know where it is. It is conveniently reachable from all international hotels in the city. Jakarta is facing more and more headache for parking, it's not valid for GKJ as it has a spacious parking lot. What about the interior? Is it able to meet high requirements, artistically as well as technically to perform refined qualities of various arts? The main building consist of vast front antique style open hall, auditorium with 370 seats, stage, foyers, Lobby and 'loge' (empty place in the right & left side of the spectators, in case of necessity, five seats could be installed).
